Five Minutes a Day: How to Start a Meditation Habit That Sticks
You don't need an hour of silence to begin. Here's how five honest minutes a day can transform your relationship with your mind.

The biggest myth about meditation is that it requires a spare hour, a silent room, and a mind that is already calm. In reality, the practice that changes lives is usually the shortest, most consistent one: five minutes, every day, no matter what.
Start by choosing a fixed time — right after you wake up, or just before bed. Sit comfortably, close your eyes, and simply notice your breath. When your mind wanders (it will), gently guide it back. That act of returning, again and again, is the practice itself.
Meditation is not about stopping thoughts, but about changing your relationship to them.
Over weeks, five minutes often grows naturally into ten, then twenty — not through force, but because the mind begins to crave the stillness it has tasted.
