Makar Sankranti marks the sun's transition into Capricorn (Makar) and the beginning of its northward journey — a moment celebrated across India as Pongal, Lohri, Bihu, and Uttarayan, among other names.

Beyond the kites, sesame sweets, and bonfires, Sankranti carries a deeper symbolism: the return of light. Traditionally considered an auspicious time for new beginnings, it invites us to release what no longer serves us and welcome renewed clarity and warmth — both literal and spiritual.
